Synopsis
Located on the Brazilian coast, Z10 is one of the country’s oldest and most traditional fishing colonies. In this documentary, we follow the story of Zezinho, a fisherman from this historic community, whose life is drastically altered by increasing marine pollution. With the decline of fish stocks, Zezinho and his colleagues face a crisis of livelihood and identity. In an inspiring turnaround, they reinvent their practices, transforming from fishermen into guardians of the ocean. By ‘fishing’ for trash, they not only find a new means of subsistence but also emerge as central figures in the fight for environmental preservation. This short film is a visual and emotional journey, highlighting human resilience in the face of environmental adversity, and the community’s ability to find creative solutions to global problems
